I stopped by the dog park the other day with my mini- dachshund and someone coming to do maintainance on the grounds was very rude and said he was calling the police on dogs without a dog park tag. I was not away this was a members only park as my friend recommended it. I would not mind becoming a member if you would please let me know how to join. I think the idea of a dog park is a great idea for the Savannah community but felt that the ground keeper’s attitude did not reflect that spirit. It should be about providing a welcoming enviornment for both the dogs and the owners, especially those of us who live in the neighborhood.
I have been a big fan of the Savannah Dog Park, as has our dog, Buddy. Unfortunately, we have to move and find a new home for him - a 2 year old Basenji mix. He’s a great dog and deserves a comparable home.
If you’re interested in adopting Buddy, or if you know someone else who might be, please contact me ASAP for more information (pictures, adoption supplies, etc.).
